Delete your account
You can delete your SocAils account and its data yourself, at any time, in the app or on the web. It happens at once and cannot be undone.
In the iPhone or Android app
- Tap your picture at the top right (on a tablet, at the bottom left), then Account & billing.
- Scroll down to Delete my account.
- Type your password, tap Delete my account, then tap OK to confirm.
On the web
- Sign in at www.socails.com on any computer or phone.
- Click your picture (at the bottom left on a computer, at the top right on a phone), then Account & billing.
- Under Delete my account, type your password, click Delete my account, then click OK to confirm.
Forgot your password? Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page to set a new one first.
What is deleted right away
- Your password. Every phone and computer is signed out.
- Your sign-in record: the time and IP address of your last sign-in, how many times you signed in, when you last used SocAils, and when you confirmed your email.
- Every brand in the account and its connected social accounts, so SocAils can no longer post or read anything for you.
- Your uploaded videos and photos, captions, drafts, schedule, post history and stats, Inbox comments and replies, brand voice and writing samples, and products.
- Your review links, notification settings and phones, Dropbox and Google Drive links, and your AI setting.
- The App Store receipt SocAils kept to check your plan.
- A plan bought on the web is cancelled, so you are not charged again.
What is not deleted, and why
- Subscriptions bought in the iPhone or Android app. Apple and Google bill those, so deleting your account does not stop them. Cancel them as shown above.
- Posts you already published. They stay on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and the other networks. Delete them there if you want them gone.
- A closed account record: your email address, the date you signed up, your plan and billing details (plan, dates, and the Stripe, Apple or Google reference for your purchases) and your free-trial dates. We keep it for our billing and tax records. It has no set end date: it stays until you sign up again with the same email, which replaces it, or ask us to remove it. Email support@socails.com and we remove everything tax law does not require us to keep.
- Free-trial card check. If you started a free trial on the website, the trial’s Stripe reference and, when a card could be read, Stripe’s fingerprint of that card (never the card number) stay linked to the closed account, with no set end date, so the same card cannot get a second free trial.
- App purchase link. The Apple or Google purchase ID that was linked to your account stays on file, with no set end date. Because that account is deleted, you can use the purchase with a new account, and it then moves to that account.
- Free plan AI count. The ID of each connected YouTube channel, Instagram account or TikTok account and how many free AI posts it used this month. It is dropped when the count starts over next month.
- Payment records at Stripe, Apple and Google. Each keeps its own records of what you paid, as the law requires.
- Backups. Deleted data is gone from our backups within 30 days.
To remove one social account and keep everything else, open the Accounts tab, tap … next to it, then Remove.
